Today nik24 and myself met up with stealth and cavking for a good days worth of exploring. I now have lovely panda eyes and lobster coloured arms, but today has been worth the pain I am in.

I have been wanting to do this place for a long time, walking miles each weekend in hope and today all that walking paid off.

Anyway here are my pics, I hope you like....

Nik24 and hopefully stealth will post up some pics later on soon.

The next stop was Tyler hill train tunnel (photos can be seen on flickr page), then we went somewhere amazing (to us). Nik24 will do a report on that part of our day later.

This was one we have had on our to do list for quite some time, good explore apart from the dodgy air.

Right well then here are my pics

Great day out as usual guys :) we've been walking this stretch of bloody beach for weeks waiting for an opportunity and today all that exercise finally paid off :D keeping us fit Ali if nothing else.

Also got a nice tan at the same time as an added bonus, this place is very low, very slippery, very wet and the air is not great CavKing's gas detector went off big style when we first went in so had to aerate the place for a fair while before Ali and I ventured down there (we went in pairs for safety reasons, two outside all the time).

Still on me trusty Kodak compact with no tripod so excuse pics I can't light paint :(

    The only concrete lined section

One of the fallen roof beams, you wouldn't want this bast hitting you on the head, all the wood is totally rotten it was like walking on sponge

    The bore itself

I found it very hard to photograph the 1880 carving

Ali chilling out further down the bore :)

Major roof collapse to the left side of the tunnel, water dripping constantly and very very wet.

Fantastic start to the day and another one off of the list, don't think I'll be going back though.
