Family Bargains, part of the 99p stores group, has opened a new store in Northampton.Browsing there today I came across a 6 LED tripod flashlight.
It's very similar to the Stanley Maxlife 369 but a lot cheaper at £3.95,so if there's one in your area it's gotta be worth a punt!

Cree yes, tape no. Have a look on ebay, you can find torch tripods that accept a variety of torches.

Meh, had some from China, they're rubbish, may as well just use a headtorch for 'mood' lighting.

For a while I used the energiser extreme headtorch powered by a single aa! And attached to a tripod , it has variable beam strength , I really can't remember the lumens but it was superb for caving!!! Lit up a huge area and all for £24.99 out of Argos, thinking of buying another soon after an exploring wannabe stole my gear....
