    Another one seen a bit too late. This one had passed the stages of Tyne Engineering and Hawthorn Leslie, and remained as only dry docks and some small buildings. Originally it was owned by Wigham Richardson & Co Ltd, who merged with Swan Hunter. Later the docks were sold off, and were last owned by A & P Tyne who cleared it literally a year or two ago. I think it might have been here in these docks that RMS Mauretania was built.

    Despite rain and bitter cold we managed to see all of it, before heading over the water to the Hawthorn Leslie yard.
