When I was about 5 years old my Grandparents took me to a very strange kid’s amusement park Basically it was an old factory fixed up to look like a castle. As I remember adults weren’t allowed into the castle part and an ominous looking Guide in a hooded robe and mask had to take you in. I have a vague memory that place and weird guide scared the shit out of me and I ran out of there before the tour had gone very far.

It sure was interesting to see it as a wreck. It still looks pretty Creepy especially since part of it burned down and some of the stuff inside melted. The heat morphing things into
    disturbing shapes

One small part of the factory was an old mill. Taking advantage of the falls nearby
It dates back to the revolutionary war days.

Word is a new owner is hoping to restore it and there was some evidence of basic repairs
and cleaning up the place. In some areas the inside was in surprisingly good condition.
Including a full stocked bar that was open until a couple of years ago.

In a future installment we’ll take a look inside.
