If you have ever driven along Mancunian Way you will have no doubt seen the concrete shell of a building that has been left standing alongside it. The construction site is situated between Mancunian Way and the Premier Inn Hotel Manchester near Deansgate Locks and had been abandoned for a number of years.

The perimeter is surrounded by a high fence, but if you are able to hop it you can get onto the first floor. There are a number of stairwells that will take you to each of the levels and roof. The roof takes a bit of getting used to as there are a few holes dotted around and nothing around the edges. Below are the photos.

The River Street site is currently occupied by a half-built concrete frame, originally built for medium-rise apartments & hotel started in 2004. The developer went bankrupt and the concrete frame has since remained unoccupied.

    This scheme is also stalled!
