Can't seem to find any information on it, i live near the place but from when i was young it was always around and part of the building got demolished around 4 years ago, so only this part of the mill still stands. All the windows have been smashed and blocked off by breaseblocks. The only real way in now is on the second floor either with a ladder or climbing up.
Its rather dark downstairs (i have not been in it yet) but you can peep through the tiny gaps and see nothing, other than that i can't see there being anything interesting on the inside, but i will have to find out some other time.

I guess i haven't really popped my cherry as i haven't been in side a abandoned building, so hopefully i will have, next up Reins Mill, Honley

This image says it all unfortunately & it"s where the pics should have gone

When the most impressive thing you post is your Watermark it should ring alarm bells that somethings not really worth posting up
Admittedly there"s always a chance of people wanting to steal your images these days, but in this case i think you"ll be pretty safe ;)

Hopefully you can only improve on the above & maybe you should spend a little time actually looking at "Most" other members reports on here. Which would show you whats "normally acceptable" when posting a report up, both regarding the name & general location of sites & some history ( which where Old Mill"s are concerned there"s normally lot"s of info on the Net & come on it"s not hard to find a name of a Mill that"s been stood there for forever & a day)

Looking forward too Reins Mill :thumb

There's an obvious access point in your other pics, bit of a climb but looks pretty easy really. My advice is give it another go and report back with photos from inside, and preferably not all close ups of trash.... :D

Photos are fine mate, you've just not got in.
The climb isn't too bad, but that depends totally on how comfortable you are climbing.

I wouldn't bother climbing in, especially not on your own. Inside isn't worth it tbh.

Also, there's loads of information on this mill, you just need to know where to look. Here is a tiny fragment I just rustled up...

The name of the mill should've been obvious, as you're not actually in Holmbridge here, you're in Hinchliffe Mill... bit of a clue there. The original mill dates back to the fifteen century staggeringly - probably a fulling mill - although that was situated just above the Dobb Lane roadbridge. This particular building dates back to 1807.

Until 2000, a firm called Whiteley and Green were here, they'd been in the lower mill from the beginning of the twentieth century. Afterwhich, a new company called W&G Weavertec (assuming the same heritage) were advertising for staff with experience of weaving Somet and Dornier looms - so the writing was on the walls from then it seemed.

Yeah, good shout. I did the same recently actually. Was walking by... fancied a little look... got to the most likely climb spot and just thought... nah, on my own, f*ck it.
