Report - AMF Crawley bowling 5/03/2008

    Well, I have reported on this site a couple of times now and thought that i would not be going back! But i had a phone call from a friend for a guided tour as he informed me that this was looking like hes last chance to get in there, he had gone to the car park at the rear of the ally to eat hes kfc and saw a sign saying demolition starts tomorrow:eek:

    Now this was quite freeky i found a membership card and as it happens i worked with this guy about 10 years agofor about 2 months at my first job in horsham , he loved hes bowling and always bowled at AMF , i reconised the name stait away!!

    If demolition starts on time then it will be almost five years to the day since AMF Crawley closed (16/03/03)

    I guess it was good that it remained un-chavved and so many of us got to see it over the last couple of years.

    I wonder who left the shoes behind...? I am sure they were not there on my last two visits.
