Aquasplash was a Swimming park situated in Jarman Park, Hemel Hempstead. It has recently closed down and is being refurbished into what I believe will be a shopping plaza. The most notable flume that was in the park was known as the space bowl other attractions were known as the lazy river, multi slides, the tyre ride - this was closed down for quite a while before the actual closure of the park itself, there were rumours of somebody injuring themselves quite badly on the ride but I don't really know what happened, then a personal favourite of mine which were the rapids, these were found next to the multi slides.

So having been to this Swimming park many times and a final time before it was closed down I didn't really know we were going to explore this park after it had closed, living in Hemel and having walked past it a few times I then noticed construction work had begun so me and a few of my friends who are not members of this forum then decided we wanted to go inside and just take some photos.

These photos don't really do the place justice, they're not great photos but it was a pretty amazing place and I wanted to share the experience, wish we could go back and take some better photos, the whole place inside is flattened now though, just a heads up if anybody wanted to take a look.

Space bowl - weird to see it without water constantly flowing through it into the pool

Cheers for having a look, hope you enjoy.

Cheers for posting this up, it looks interesting :thumb, an external shot of the building would have been good.

I heard that Stanley knife blades and needles were being pushed through the joints on the external tube, which led to it being closed. Nice... :wanker
