Having just acquired a full pack of smokes and half a tank of petrol and the fact I hadn't been underground in almost 48 hours it was time to hit another drain, after messaging KM_Punk and without much effort twisting his arm it wasn't long before we where back in Nottingham, This time instead how ever we decided to hit the tourist trail and pick up one fantastic beast of a drain... Beck valley culvert.

Built a long time ago (early 1880's), not by Robin Hood how ever, but some contractors known as Footing and Barry, After ducking and dodging the gunfire and arrows that are flying around the city as is usual on a Weekday or Weekend night, there is a good reason why this place is referred to as Shottingham (in truth we never saw any guns or arrows fired). After a conversation with a random yet harmless surface dweller who was quite intrigued as to why we where standing looking rather fucking bait at what is essentially a dead end of a road, he wondered if we where "Urban Pot-holing", he wasn't far wrong.

Punk slides gently into the flow, with a slight panic... realising 2 issues... A: His waders are fucked... B: His phone is in his pocket. Once that situation resolved our attention turned to this nice and XXX rated brick p0rn that is almost NSFW. Ignoring the random lumps of poo, fanny pads and other crap floating around us we wade through what seemed like an eternity. The sheer scale of the place is astonishing, yet understandable... Nottingham hit early with its modernisation and those Victorian fellas knew how to craft nice big drains.

I will say the CSOs that dump into here are not screened at all, literally a walled overflow. Im sure the EA would be pleased about that :S

So here I present Beck Valley Culvert, explored with @KM_Punk

Great night, as always. The Sheriff of Nottingham will have a price on our heads if we keep this up with Nottingham :p
