Firstly I just want to say it's my first report of Urban Exploring and hope you guys will like this even though it has been done a few times already. But I must stress that anyone wanting to visit this abandoned site must think about doing it asap as planning permission for demolition of the site has been received and validated by the planning application of Nottingham council on the gov dot uk site, date was Monday 6th June of this year.

The Beechdale swimming baths closed its doors permanently on the 28th August 2015 seeing and end to a local leisure centre that opened in 1970. This leisure centre is the place in which Rebecca Adlington trained at before becoming the well known Olympic swimmer for Great Britain. The centre not only had a main swimming pool, it had a smaller one for the little'uns, a pool connected to the main pool solely for the slide and a diving pool off the the side of the main pool.

The site also had upstairs "Robin Hoods Hideout" which was a soft play area with slides, ball pools, climbing apparatus and also a little cafe with a fairly decent sized eating area next to the play area and also overlooking the pools. Also there was a squash courts and a pay as u gym area too.

Mindless vandals, apparently a lot of damage was done by travellers that was moved on, Secca told us this lol.

The ball pool looks depressing but I bet was fun when in use.

Nice view of the pools and the slide, such a shame it's in this state.

Apologies for the size of the photos but couldn't rearrange them etc... The Secca that caught us was decent, it wasn't a permitted visit as that would take out the risk of it all lol
