Zcott and myself went to cover one of the remaining uncovered blocks in this huge victorian hospital that he and irishmanlost had previously explored.

This is how large the site is

Very cold damp and muddy day - hence the idea of an indoor explore appealed.

The block in question today was up until two years ago, the regional Radiotherapy Centre. True to NHS form, it had been built on, and built on - it was like a rabbit warren.

It used to house Wards, labs , treatment centre, Theatre,, MRI and CT scanning facilities. It was immence to say the least, and they had the decency to leave the power on too.

One close brush with the security though kept the heart rate above normal.

    Team NI at it again!

Quite a few 'treatment halls' had all the equipment stripped out, but they had left the laser guide in this one

Some of the equipment still remains, but there is evidence that it is being removed by the correct authorities bit by bit

Found the Operating Theatre (with electric supply - BONUS!)

and trolley - looks like the patient left 5 minutes before us too!

All in - a thoroughly rewarding explore
    2 buildings done, 6 + to go!

This place was really eerie, and really awesome. Apart from nearly emptying myself when two security guards walked past the window of the room we were in, it was a great day out.

    The radiology wards:

Not quite sure how this worked:

For sale, one hospital corridor, mint condition, one owner from new:

    Plenty of beds free here:

The temporary owner ran off and left this behind:

Alien Lights. Seeing this thing pointing straight at you when you're not expecting it is truly terrifying. :
