Birmingham Central Goods Station was built as a branch of the suburban line in Birmingham. The station was constructed in 1887 until it closed in 1967 as a result of Post Beeching cuts.

The station itself was functional not of no particular interest however the tunnel is still is situ.

At present the tunnel is a hive of activity as the Birmingham and Worcester Canal is currently being drained as the water is leaking into the disused tunnel.

The tunnel can be entered from the Centenary Plaze apartment complex just off Holiday Street.

I used to ride my bike into the city centre through this one as a child.
