After hearing about this from our art technician, we got our stuff together and headed down. Visited with creature17, hence the better-than-average photos.

History: Once Briggens Park Hotel and Golf Club, the manor house was closed and sold in 2005 and is now destined to be luxury flats. In its heyday the hotel offered luxury suites and function rooms, and was licensed to carry out weddings on the site.

    Without futher ado, pictures!:

Detail above the doors. The latin reads literally "Art is long, life short":

Luckily the electric lights were still functional; it was pitch black down there and we had forgotten a torch.
