    History
Brogyntyn Hall was constructed in 1975. It was a residence of members of the princely dynasty of the Welsh kingdom of Powys and one of the houses of the gentry in late medieval Wales. It subsequently came into the possession of the Ormsby-Gore family, Lord Harlech. Unfortunately a string of tragedies including two Lords Harlech dying without wills, leaving massive death duties to be paid, saw the decline of the family fortunes and subsequent sale of the Hall. Interestingly it was also used during the war by British Telecom as headquarters for communications for the spy network operating in Europe.

    The Visit
Visited with Redhunter and a non member. After an eventful visit a few weeks ago which resulted in us having to leave before we got any pictures, I was determined to get in and explore this place. Knowing full well this place was alarmed we spent the first hour creeping around trying not to set anything off. After nothing going off it actually turned out to be a pretty chilled out explore. With many of the doors being locked shut we didn't get around all of it but saw a fair bit. As we left, we were taking some external shots when we saw a car was driving very fast towards us.. ugh great. As two guys got out, they weren't very happy, saying they had the right to take our cameras off us etc. etc. . " Where did you hear about this place?" "erm its on the british heritage site mate " After assuring them we hadn't been inside we left to walk back through the field of cows.

Nice report Lucy. A good place this last time I went we did the half in the part where those big pillars are. A lot of the doors are locked to stair but a good explore.
