Well, who would have guessed that a site already partially explored would be so amazing. Pulled up outside to see demolition well under way... shit. Donkey jacket on and walked into the site via the main enterance. Took in the 1970's canteen, and offices. Now the offices are incredibly dangerous. They are very rotten, and the whole building is sitting on a giant brick box full of water:eek: !
Next was the old fashoned medical centre, complete with beds and srugs cabinets.
Then, I found the real gem... the draughtsman's office, still packed full of drawings, equipment, drawing boards and the company's advertesments from the last century.
The main casting shops (whats left of them) are very good too. very unchanged for the last 50 years. Also a fantastic colliery style bath house to look at!
Pattern stores were nothing short of amazing... racks and racks of hand made wooden patterns of everything from drain covers to huge gear wheels and sprockets...
Still not seen it all... will be back!!

Draughtsman's office. Simply amazing and still full of stuff... as you can see the 'triffids' had taken over a portion of the room:eek:

Fungi had started to consume many of the drawings... never seen anything like it before:eek:
