    History

Originally this site was a factory for producing the chassis for JCB Diggers but around 10 years ago there was a fire that ripped through the whole site causing not only major damage but also an explosion that left the warehouse section nothing but a mess of twisted metal. Unfortunately the remains of the site have now been demolished but i managed to find some pictures of the carnage (Below). I can't seem to find much more history on the site as it was just another fire that happened in a warehouse.

    The Explore

We took a drive over to the site expecting to find derelict offices surrounded by twisted and burned metal to explore but when we got there we found it had been completely leveled but that doesn't mean there was nothing left to explore. Along the whole back edge were storage crates lined up with the land around covered in rubble and metal. Not only that but the buildings that used to hold the power and water supply for the site were also accessible to turn a Demolished site into a rather interesting explore.

This is how the site used to look before the fire(Excuse the odd looking right side was trying to cover the street name). The two small buildings next to the main warehouse in the top right are the water and electricity buildings in the pictures bellow.

This is what we were expecting to find when we went to explore the site but sometime in the last year this has all been demolished.

Small portacabin which i presume was used for security as this is where the main road went into the lorry yard

Rubble and Rusting metal left over from the warehouse.

The whole back of the site is lined with these shipping containers that are not only covered in graffiti but are also rotting and rusting away.

    Charming

I'm pretty sure there is some sort of irony here

Vandals seem to be quite active on this site. Not only is there was is shown in the pictures but inside some of the containers there are chairs that have been melted and signs of campfires

The two small buildings still standing would have once provided power and water to the factory.

One of the trucks is still standing but the other is just a burnt frame

Thank you for having a look at my report. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
