    Lots of places over the years have implemented this policy, and they're allowed to. They own the pavement, they can make the rules. Beetham Tower and the Mailbox in Birmingham both had this policy. Winding security up isn't the answer. Getting inside and posting pictures of an infiltration might make them re-focus though. Or a page three shot from an illuminated letter on the roof...

    You see, normally I'd agree with you two - but there are 4 important points you have missed:

    1) the pavement in question is public, not public access

    2) It is Shell

    3) It is Shell

    4) It is still Shell ;)

    take it from someone that only made it to the fourth floor: the amount of security in there is nuts. they're probably scared greenpeace will try and skinny dip in their pool or something.

    Makes you wonder, if they're getting cagey about taking a few external pics what exactly are they hiding inside... As Styru said it is shell, so probably nothing nice.
