Interesting night... only just got back in.

Met up with Mal and Winchester in Basingstoke and set off at about 21:30. Got to aldershot, but realised directions were wrong so had to improvise using a GPS-less Tom tom on my phone mixed in with paper maps (Cheers lillimouse They came in very handy :thumb ) till we finally found our way near to the parking spot. took us about 20 minutes just to find that. Once there, we parked up, got out. and Mal shouted get down! so we all dove into this bush for no reason because of his "Reflexes" as a car went past :crazy :D Was funny.

Anyway, got down a road. More wrong google map marker waypoints... ended up walking down a river, stealthing over scaffold to cross the river.. only to turn back, come back over the river, after realising it was the wrong way. Scrapped the google earth stuff and improvised again.

Found a site entrance, but was doubtful, so we ignored it. 1 hour later of trampling round, we go back to it after reading lili's notes again and realised it was actually where we had to go

So. we finally get in at 1am. go through 2 buildings.. wonder round the outside and got a few external shots. then called it a night and began to leave.. before we heard dogs and a guy reasonably close... *que fast running down steps towards our exit.

So 3am, we get out. head towards car. passed by military police, then again with an MP van pulling up to have a look at us before driving off.

All in all, a comedy night, and a good recon explore for a future proper explore

Photos will be up tommorrow/ soonish as we're all nackered, and are going to sleep now lol :freak

    I've got a few pics, they're reasonable.
It was a knackering, pretty unfulfilling night, but we recce'd it for a future visit, so wasn't worthless
Some comedy moments in there too, heres the story.

Mal picked me up at about 9.15, and we met Firefly in Basingstoke at about 10. A quick service station stop for some batteries, water and a shit meant we arrived in Aldershot at about 10.45, having driven around the place for a while, and probably alerting the military police to our presence after driving up to a compound and turning round in front of a checkpoint...
Once parked, we headed up to the site, in full stealth mode. Walking along a country road, Mal heard a car, and shouted HIDE!!! Which for some bizarre reason, we did, as a taxi rumbled past....
Having got to the perimeter fence, via a scaffolding climb over a bridge, and another one back over, we scouted around for an entrance, despite having found a perfectly decent one that we weren't sure about, considering the amount of fences in the military town...
Having finally accessed the site, we walked in, took some pics, found the bloody walls room (although suspected there were more). After this, we exited and headed to the main site. We'd decided to head for some landmarks, take some shots of the Clocktower and the long corridor, and then head home.

So we went and took some pictures of the clocktower, (mine came out really badly), and thought Fuck it, lets go home. We were all knackered, losing our edge, and making noises that we really shouldn't have had to.
So we walked to the exit point, heard some dogs barking, an engine, and some voices, and ran like fuck.

I got home at half four.

Dickhead here left his Tripod in Reading after Pyestock, so had to use a tabletop one - hence the pics.

Right, 2 days after the....extended recon we conducted and I'm finally posting on the thread about it.

I got lost coming off the M3, ended up driving around for ever. That sucked. Then we couldn't find the parking, then we did, then it looked sketchy so we found other parking. Then we were walking along a pitch black road. I heard a car coming, freaked out, yelled 'HIDE' or something and cut my legs up in the bushes as I'd worn shorts because I hate getting too hot and sweaty.

Then we found the entrance and thought is wasn't the right entrance. Spent an hour skulking round the backs of houses tryign to find another way in. Ended up on the wrong side of the place. Walked back, took a closer look at the entrance we had found and finally got in.

Checked out the first building, which was nice. Then went the wrong way to get into the next. Went under a temporary fence and found the clock tower. Photographed that, getting ever more paranoid. Decided to call it a day and hauled ass back to the car. Almost got stopped my RMPs on the way home but eventually they drove off.

Dropped the guys home, got to bed around 5AM.

Not the most successful exploration. But I'm up for going back.

    Here's some pics.
