Covered numerous times on here, but here goes anyway...

    a bit from wikipedia:

Camelot Theme Park was a resort and theme park located in the English county of Lancashire. The park´s theme was based on the famous legend of Camelot. It was located on a 140-acre (0.57 km2; 0.22 sq mi) site[2] near the village of Charnock Richard, 3 miles (4.8 km) west of Chorley. One of the rollercoasters can be seen from the M6 near the Charnock Richard Services. The site is owned by The Story Group, and was operated by Knights Leisure. The park featured many rides, taking a target audience of families and younger children, however the park also boasted numerous thrill rides and roller coasters, including Whirlwind (a Maurer Söhne spinning coaster), Knightmare and Excalibur. The park was featured in an episode of Sooty & Co., in which presenter Matthew Corbett takes Sooty, Sweep and Soo there. The theme park closed in 2012

Did this one bright (or rather dark) and early, convenient parking at the park hotel, simple access. No security, we suspected as much but did the research on the guards, incidentally the security shed next to the dragon flyer is trashed. Despite it clearly degrading between each visit report, I thought It was still a quality Explore - especially with no pressure of security. Down side being that there is no dragon flyer :-(

In the village there were signs in gardens stating "say no to camelot housing redevelopment", heres a bit on the proposals

You're not missing much, it really isn't worth any effort unless you're passing by anyway :D

    Snake Oil's right,

a shadow of its former self

we wanted to tick a theme park off, seemed like the best opportunity, - earlier reports looked good.

still think its an experience exploring a theme park - just have to use your imagination lol ;-)
