So I know it's been done to death, but it was my first real UrbEx so I thought I'd share it with you all.
As seems to be the case at the moment, there's one guard hiding between Knightmare and the Garages containing the carriages. We were there over 2 hours without being disturbed.

All images taken on Sony Xperia Z5 (awesome camera)

    Enjoy!

    History Lesson (from my angle)

Camelot Theme Park was, at one point, a thriving destination for tourists from every corner of the globe. After many years of failing to add attractions of any impact or appeal, dwindling visitor numbers eventually caught up with the ironically aging theme of 'Times gone by'. By the end of it's life, management devised poor and tired excuses, blaming irrelevant and impertinent events for the spiraling debts, until the excuses halted; along with the rides.
A housing development company bought the land without doing their research, and as such had their plans shot down very quickly, as locals heavily opposed the proposals. It then came out that Camelot was practically Green Belt land anyway. The development company now pay a man to sit in a box all day, watching netflix and smoking.
That said, we did see a few local residents' signs still opposing housing plans, so there may be something on the backburner here.

Clearly I'm not the first to visit, but i may be one of the last; if you haven't been, then i'd recommend a trip - there's cameLOTS TO SEE ;)

Ah come on! Ok, it's a sore sight / site for some, but it's a first explore and it's formatted as requested, unlike some others.

Yep, lets see some more stuff @ldpeacock :thumb

Welcome in & well done on getting out ;)

Your report needs some History of the place adding into the report (as per all 28 reports.......mostly) i think you may not have any difficulty finding identical reports to cut & paste it from :D

As believe it or not, not everyone knows the history of the place:eek:

Also i"d suggest trying to alter the White Balance if possible or the metering, it"ll make your pics a lot better, even on a phone.

Look forward to your next report

    Edited for his pleasure ;)

Regarding white balance, i did have a bit of a play with the settings; and i was never 100% happy, but had to settle for something before i froze to death sat on a coaster track.
Unfortunately it was one of those blinding days with a thin layer of cloud that glows with the sun behind it, so it wasn't ideal for taking pics of white castles :/

Advice taken on board though (:

I'm looking to try St Joseph's in Preston next, dependent on access issues..

Hi all. Looking at doing my first UrbEx myself too and after hearing about this it's hard to resist. Heard the place was flattened a few months ago though, can anyone confirm it's still there? And do they still have security to look out for?

    Thanks!
