Visited Camelot on Sunday for a 2nd explore site in the afternoon with @rach_ello ,wasn't sure what to expect in terms of access to it with it being a theme park & also being closed since 2012, Had no issues getting into the theme park, could literally walk right through the main entrance.

Upon arrival to the site, saw a few groups of people who clearly had the same idea as we did, Security wise wasn't really a problem there was a red car that drove round & was parked up from time to time but apart from that it was fine, There seemed to be a lot of vandalism caused to many of the shops/shutters etc

Glad to see you got some exploring done mate :thumb The main thing is that you had fun and got out and about doing stuff, doesn't matter if its been done before - you'd be hard pressed to find somewhere that hasn't.

I don't see why everyone hates on the place from the outside it still looks fascinating and its easy to see why it peaks a lot of interest. True it might be a little lackluster on the inside but its not everyday you come across an abandoned theme park where other places (hospitals, manor houses, drains, cranes, factories etc) are far more common.

Kudos for getting out there buddy :)

Thanks for looking guys, we had an ace time, was really easy to get in this place too after first Travelling to Whittingham, sneaking under the barriers and stealth-crawling through the undergrowth to find it had been demolished, then off to St Josephs Orphanage in Preston and finding that unless we had a very tall ladder with us, we weren't getting in! (learning curve :p) The weather was brill as well, so Camelot was perfect for a sunny Sunday explore :) Hoping to get out this weekend too, so we shall keep you posted :D

I'd advise against posting any access information in the public domain mate, security firms, police and site owners view this forum and if you post how you got in somewhere - you might find it sealed a few days later as a result of openly sharing it.

The only way I'd visit this place was if I was in the area and it was on fire :D

Because it's been the biggest 'urbex' tourist spot for far too long now and people need to realise that there are far greater sites out there

Everyone has to start off somewhere though.

It's much better (in my opinion) for people to start off safe and small with somewhere like Camelot than go full steam ahead in somewhere far more dangerous and end up hurt because they didnt have the experience or kit to do it.

first time ever doing it, explored Whittingham (albeit not much left at all) then went to look at St Josephs but it seemed rather tricky & no easy "legal" way in,

Camelot was great for starting out tbh, can only learn & get better with experience :thumb
