Ok forgive me but this is my first report

We have a little group based in Milton Keynes and for some time now we have been interested in urban exploring but finding the right place was the problem as Milton Keynes doesn’t really have any abandon buildings.

So one night on a trip to see the Cardington Hangers we came across this!

This was the main offices for the Cardington Hanger works and was built at around 1912

It’s been empty for about 10 years now and apart from being striped and some holes in the walls of the 3rd floor it isn’t in a bad way really “it’s not been chaved ;)

We started this report at night but then went back in the daytime for a better look

Out of all the buildings around from that time this is the only building left on the plot with the separate main warehouse and canteen gone for good, this building doesn’t seem to have much time left

The building itself is very well built with concrete floors on all levels so no danger of falling through the floors and the building gives you the presence that’s its very sturdy

Excess was also very easy ;)

It’s a sham that this building has been left like this as there is so much potential here but its going to waste

PS am I the first to report this?

    Also forgive my camera :(

    Lots of pics!

When my father was stationed at R.A.F. Cardington in 1965 that building was the SHQ. There used to be a big model in there, not sure now if it was of the base or of the R101.
