News has just come through to my office that the Central Hotel in Birkenhead is to cease trading as from today....

A copied piece of text from the hotels facebook site.
Hi guys I'm sorry to inform you all that the central hotel is no longer in business as From tomorrow it's been a pleasure entertaining you all with live music and fabulous food. It's a long Good bye everyone it's been a pleasure!

how this building will be sealed is yet unknown and there is on the grapevine that The Holiday Inn Chain may be interested in taking over the building.

The Central Hotel is situated in the centre of Birkenhead on the Argyle Street Roundabout with basements, bars and five floors of bedrooms.

Will be watching this building with interest over the next few days and weeks.

That building is unlikely to remain empty for long. If you could compare women to property then it's a prime piece of ass as things go and is ripe for someone like the Holiday Inn to snap it up.

Premier Inn have taken over the old St Marks House Next to the Mersey Tunnel, so another hotel chain may very well want to try and stop that monopoly happening.

It is a big building in a prime location.

I'll be keeping an eye on this but since it's in such a central location and likely to be snapped up quick I can't imagine discreet access will be too easy! Better off going in a hi-vis and looking like a surveyor! :D
