Report - Chateau H - Belgium, Sept 2014

    In september 2014 I visited this chateau in Belgium.

    Abandoned for years and it shows... On the ground floor, it's a big mess with waste and construction materials, left overs of an attempt to renovate the castle. First and second floors showed some hidden beauty of what once must have been a romantic chateau.

    The original building dates back to around 1750. A couple of reconstructions and extensions in the late 1800s gave the building the title "chateau".

    That does look like it was a great place once in its former life.
