    This is my first report - and what it lacks in information I hope is made up for in photographs. Relentless searching on-line has pretty much amounted to nothing as I can't even find the name of this place and after two revisits am clueless still. If anybody does know - I'd be endlessly grateful because it'd be good to know a little about the place at least.

    I'm guessing by the state of it and the amount of graffiti and damage though that it's been through the wars!

    So anyway;
    This building is huge. Like, massive. There are four floors, and I have only been brave enough to reach the second thus far as uncertain to how safe it'll be. The first time we visited, it was literally a gap in the fence and walk right in job. Easy enough. The second time we went was a little more difficult as some of the neighbouring community members had boarded over our original point of entry - I'm guessing to stop kids going in there (which we did encounter on the first visit and they were really terrified and unmasked. gave us the fright of a life time...)

    Anyhow, this was incredibly fun, albeit scary, but also quite dangerous - there was a lot of broken glass and insulation and creaky floor and collapsed ceiling - definitely a hard hat and careful footing job to say the least.

    Well it would if you'd included any :) - can you add pictures to the actual report, rather than just posting an external link - take a look at a few other reports to get the idea :)

    I thought you couldn't do that anymore and had to post an external link?

    Try looking at maps for a clue to the name. You could also ask at Stockport Library, Heritage Centre or Staircase House. It would make a more interesting report with a bit of back story.

    Regards photos, you have a good eye for composition, they could be just a little bit sharper. Keep at it, practice makes perfect :thumb
