Visited with CheltOriginal this was one of three planned explores all local to each other. We'd left it late to visit the Malvern College complex, too late as it turned out. We stood, heads bowed watching the builders destroying the care home in disbelief. All the old equipment now lying redundant at the bottom of the skip. Work on all of the complex is going at a heck of a speed, the delay caused by the rare bats found on site is well and truly being made up.
We turned to plan B, another of the numerous buildings still part of the site and enjoyed a relaxed mooch. After being part of the college for so long its recently been used for student accommodation, but even I cant blame them for the state some parts of the house were in...

    and today...

Some redeeming features if you look close enough

Lower levels need a bit of work though

Stunning fireplaces still in most rooms
    [IMG]

Missed the builders by a day

    Trotting up a level,some rooms still semi-furnished

And some have had the student touch

This guys room had lots of pics of himself as well as his entry card to a swingers club

Remarkably there's evidence that he actually pulled (hopefully that's his Gran in the top picture.)

    Almost too much evidence...

    More forgotten things

Soon to be converted into apartments the future looks rosy for this old house, there's enough touches and reminders dotted around to keep it interesting and enough original features to make it worth saving.
A good day out and thanks to CheltOriginal for the company, good to meet you mate.
    Thanks for looking.

    Smashing.

Malvern's weird, it's a lovely town and a desirable place to live but there's millions of pounds of real estate around Abbey Road alone that's just been left to rot!

Nice work dude. I had a look at this one last year but couldn't find a way in, I don't think work had started on it at that point

Some nice features here, hopefully the developers will be sympathetic to the place. Cheers for sharing it.
