Built in 1892, this former courthouse and police station was initially visited by john, spook and BenWRX last year, although not a massive site it has some nice artefacts lying around which i had seen on previous reports and wanted to see myself.
Also i had passed this place many times and wondered what it was and wanted to get in, as its only 15 miles or so from me, and as Lawrence wanted to see wallerscote soda ash works and its close by, we thought we'd pay a visit.

Looking around for information and not wanting to plagiarise from snappels site;) i found this as well, papers held by cheshire county council:

"Particulars of sale of outlying portions of Vale Royal estate, comprising c 4964 acres in Oakmere, Whitegate, Delamere, Sandiway, Davenham, Moulton, Marton, Winsford and Over, Dec 1928, with contract for purchase of plot of land by Chief Constable; abstract of title of Hugh, third Baron Delamere, 1929 and abstracts of leases by Lord and Lady Delamere to Brunner Mond and Co and the Salt Union, 1909-1923, and draft conveyance to County Council 1929"
Quite appropriate the mention of brunner mond seeing as we were going on to do the soda ash works one of their former sites.
