    Background:
    The 51 metre high Shot Tower; which was built in 1799 or 1800. Lead has been brought from the mines of North Wales and exported from the Port of Chester since Roman times. With the improvement in transportation brought about by the building of the Shropshire Union Canal during the 1770s, this became an ideal location for Walkers, Parker and Co to build their new leadworks.


    Explore:
    Went with Snappel who'd been up it before. Thought it would be a walk in the park after seeing some Dweeb's pics earlier this week. Oh was I wrong. It isn't difficult but just the fact your on a single staircase all the way to the top while sections were buckled, broken and twisted. Anyway here at the pics, enjoy:
