    History

Cincinnati Machine Tools was a world renowned manufacturer of milling machines. In the 1950's a large factory and modern headquarters was built alongside the canal at Erdington. The buildings are a striking post war modernist statement running along a traditional section of Birmingham waterway, with a single curved span concrete bridge connecting the main entrance to the opposite bank. The design has a particularly modern transatlantic feel when compared to many other contemporary industrial headquarters.

    The Explore

Decided to head over to Birmingham for the day to tick some sites off the list with a few friends. Visited one very warm and sunny afternoon with Dweeb, Speed and CatVstyle, this place is huge! Upon entering we were aware that there were alarms present on the site but as soon as we turned the first corner the inevitable happened! Undeterred, we carried on as normal despite security turning up. All in all a good explore and was good to get this one crossed off the list.
I was particularly looking forward to seeing the auditorium which is considerably more flooded now that it was a few years back

    On with the pictures:

Some good pictures. Was there very recently, and bumped into two chaps from the site security. Asked us to follow them out after they 'resecured' the entrance. Followed them out clocking the PIR's, watched their van drive away, walk back around and went back in ha. Idiots. Dont know if its worth chucking a thread up, didnt get many decent pictures. Brave of you to wade through the wet auditorium!
