Visited today. This is in much better condition than the Birmingham BHQ and is bone dry with only a bit of litter and graffiti. The only original features are a few old wooden door frames. The rest is all just plain brick work. It actually extends quite a bit underground, more so than is obvious from the surface, with the office and telex rooms being the largest. Differences to the Birmingham BHQ are that this one has a lot more of the structure exposed, it has iron railings around the entrance and it has a gun port as part of the Observation Cupola.

Battle HQ. Coventry Airport is over fields to the right.

The Observation Cupola and escape hatch (no ladder)

Main corridor. First left leads to messengers room and onto Telephone Exchange. Second left leads into office and through to the Observation Cupola. Straight ahead is the toilet.

Looking into the office from the corridor. The hatch on the left is through to the messengers room. The hatch ahead is to the telex room. Turning right in the office leads through to the escape hatch area and onto the Observation Cupola.

Looking out from the Obs Cupola. Note the gun port - this wasn't a feature of the Birmingham BHQ.
