Situated in the villiage of Dailly in Ayrshire, Dalquharran Castle was built in the late 1700s by Robert Adam for the Kennedy family. It was built as a replacement for the older, smaller castle just 300 yards away. Supposedly due to be redeveloped as a golf course but no signs of any work taking place.

We visited on a wet January day last week, we being me and my logistics co-ordinator. (I'm scared of heights ok, I need help getting into things  )
