Denbigh Asylum is Grade II listed, and began back in 1844, and was ready for 200 patients on the 14th November 1848.
Overcrowding meant a few extensions were built in 1899.
The hospital now had facilities for around 1500 patients.
Denbigh closed its doors in 1995.
Prince Charles put the buildings under the protection of the Phoenix Trust.
