Visited with Gone. The place was huge! We arrived at the DSS building at around 2am. By the time we left, it was broad day light.

    Info
The 5 storey Department of Employment Building, later known as the Department of Social Security was completed in 1951, in the final year of King George VI reign and was one of the first new builidngs to appear in Manchester following the end of World War Two.

The building is to be demolished to make way for the Albany Tower. At 43 storeys the residential tower will be 131m tall. Today it would be Manchester's tallest, but due to the massive rate of construction in the city it could be as low as 6th tallest when completed.

Picture heavy, I know, but it's a big place to cover.

    Cheers for looking. Rookie. :thumb
