    Hi,

This is my first post on 28 days later, I have watched for some time and finally had a go at Urban ex myself. This was my first effort, I had a fantastic time and was lucky enough to catch an amazing sunset which really lifted the pictures.

    Pics taken in December 2013.

The quarry shut in the summer of 1969, rather suddenly leaving 300 people out of work. The quarry had been operational for 200 years, selling roofing slate to France mainly, but also the UK and rest of Europe. At it's peak it employed 3000 people, what a cracking view they had from the top.

    Thanks for looking,

    Matt
