So after a very brief introduction, I thought I'd start a thread worth a few photos that show my first forays into urban exploring, gives you a rough idea of the the things I'm into. All these are external shots, I've yet to top pick up the courage and find someone to delve deeper. I'm desperate to try Durham hospital as i know it's being bulldozed for students accommodation. So what was your first time? Start drew you to urban exploring? [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

I have moved this to a more suitable section, also please note that the photos you have attached do not appear to be working, have you linked to the actual image file rather than the page they are hosted on?

I can't see your pictures but my first time properly exploring (although I didn't know what urban exploration was then) was around '05, my mum and her friends had found info about a derelict asylum that they thought would be cool to visit and she asked if I wanted to tag along. We went, got in, spent about 7 hours there (Hellingly) and thus my love of Asylums and urban exploration was born (though it'd be few years later that I even knew other people did the same).

I've been going in to abandoned buildings to mooch about since i was a kid, always loved the feel derelict places have, the history, the stories the walls could tell if only they could speak. i never really realized so many other people enjoyed it too, i have only recently found this site and done my first explore with pics.

I've been going to abandoned places for years now but haven't really integrated with the community, until now. We even shot a music video in St Peters Morgue, and some lunatic asylums a few years ago. Apologies for the quality of the images, these were all i could find of our first few trips.

I've kinda fell into by accident, I've been into photography in some sorts for a few years, the usual, nature, landscape, and i took a few photos of some graffiti near me which I uploaded to instagram, needless to say or suggested users "similar" to me, e who had used the #UrbanEx and the rest as they say it's history. I really enjoy the "hunt" of derelict building and then trying to get the perfect shot,so far I've failed. I will try and upload some photos when I get access to a pc. But Heres to many more hunts...
