Just saw a great documentary on BBC 4, It tells the story of building the great liners and of shipbuilding on the clyde. Lots of great period footage of the yards. Theres a particular focus on John Browns which is really interesting and it contains loads of useful information about the Upper Clyde Shipbuilders which I didnt previously know about.

Worth an hour of anyones time if you claim to have an interest in the histroy of the shipyards.

    Its on Iplayer Here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00nnm7k/Time_Shift_Series_9_The_Men_Who_Built_the_Liners/
