    After reading Big Loadas report on Earsdon Colliery / Fenwick Pit I decided to pay a visit myself as it is not to far away from me. An excellant site unfourtunatley well and truly trashed.

    Spent about an hour there but sadly I could not find the red panties mentioned in Big Loadas report so I fear we may have a Knicker sniffer in our mist.

    That looks like the map from the Durham Mining Museum site. Thats a fantastic resource for mining in Northumberland and Durham.
