I've tried to find information as to what this site's use was, there is not much out there unfortunately. All signs/structures etc around the site indicate that it was an Effluent Treatment plant......

The site is located in the same area as the old Capper Pass and Son refinery. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capper_Pass_and_Son

It may or may not have originally been part of this refinery.

Unfortunately most surface buildings have been either wrecked or demolished but it was a fun mooch about and there is a decent silo to climb for some overcast and miserable views of the Humber :p
