    I visited this place this evening with xm657.

    The Dairy appears to have closed in around 2003/ 2004 according to the logs and other paper work we found lying around. It is in very good condition with only a little evidence of pikeys and very little chav activity (there was some which I'll get onto later)

    The site is spread across three buildings; Transport and Cafe, Engineering workshops and the main building houses the bottling equipment, a laboratory and offices.

    Walking around is like a maze. There were times we walked back into a room wondering how we missed this doorway. There was no place inaccessible and we even managed the steel gantries in the loft space.

    As we made our way down a corridor, there was the sound of gushing water. Someone has tried to pull the copper piping off the wall and it has burst. We tried to turn it off via a stop-cock but is still pissing out. It looks like it has been this way for weeks as the carpets have rotted in this area.

    This room was massive considering the overall size of the building. Looks brand new and unused

    The Engineering workshops were last. These plans were scattered all over the office floor

    I thought this shot was quite poignant, a collection of five milk bottles. The only ones in the plant.

    Thats it for the report. Hope you enjoyed it.

    As for the Chav activity I mentioned earlier, we found this;

    in the engineering workshops which really put a downer on the trip. It was sprayed on about 4 walls and a window.

    I've done a search for this as a previous explore and cannot find anything using the obvious key search words.

    I really cannot understand why the little retards would bother going to a site to tag a website that generally do not condone this behaviour.

    Ok, finally got round to putting my photos on. Kjud pm'ed me with merely hours before I was due to fly to Italy, but seemed too good to miss so accepted the invitation. Armed only with camera phone, my proper camera packed and primed for Italy here are some snaps I took.

    Kjud and myself were literally all over this site in every nook and cranny and every room, the roof gantries especially were a highlight. Anyone some random pics that came out half decent from the Nokia E50.

    And weird find of the night was the drinking straws - hundreds scattered over the floor and unopened boxes filled with 1000s more were piled on a serviceable looking hand forklift. Very odd what little things get left behind.
