not sure if the link below works (please advise how i put a shorter link on here - i'm no Pro) but if it does here is an old strip club in Failsworth, it ceased trading in the early 80's and has been used as a religious building for the last decade, it closed about 2-3 years ago and judging by the yellow square pikey ladders it has been entered before..

    https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Fa...ziKw-Ap97pnN-tQoKrnFYw&cbp=12,185.66,,0,-6.42

right next door to this is one of the biggest DHSS offices in manchester

    https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Fa...=8NkIvDlm_1SAbPiNUMeq1g&cbp=12,191.44,,0,0.64

and 1000yds down the same road on the right is the lantern club!, this thing has been empty for YEARS.. once famous for being the place you could find a fight 24/7 in its day lol..

    https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Fa...-bLH9KxuYH49KRdraplNuQ&cbp=11,311.26,,0,-2.94

all of the above are smack bang on the main A62 Manchester / Oldham Road so not exactly tucked away down a dark alley lol..

i think the DHSS and the Lantern Club maybe sealed tighter than my wifes purse, but good luck :)

Thanks for the leads but why not go and check them out if your local ?

The DHSS would require B&E, I did some I.T work there many years ago, I never saw much of interest back then
Pretty sure the lantern was owned by some colourful character who would have once took great pleasure in bagging you in the nearby canal, not sure who owns that these days :popcorn

Look forward to seeing some pics :)

Failsworth is so called for a reason. Most of the Oldham to Manchester route is derped and largely uninspiring.

Christ, I used to go in the Lantern, with the lads who ran Ashton BMX, you're right Ojay, some dodgepots in there. It was a shithole when it was open, god knows now! :)
