Failsworth Mill Failsworth Manchester…Another new mill for me and despite the dodgy looking exterior the interior was quite a nice find. first visit was solo closely followed by a second visit with JST and others, i apologise on not remembering the names..This by all mean's was i nice lucky find, i happened to be driving through failsworth noticed the mill stopped for a look and as luck has it i had grabbed my camera not really thinking i would get anywhere. but as luck was on my side i found an access point and was on my way…my second visit was after a miserable fail in liverpool so as a consolation prize we went here, everyone else then went on to Hartford etc…me i just went home. The sad thing is about this mill is i can't seem to find much if any history at all…all i know is over the years it has become like so many other mills various other business's from canvas storage to an air rifle range still with trophy cabinet…the engine house is still the best feature as in so many mills, no tiles just a lovely rusty gantry crane and exposed beams. a lot of offices still remain full of files and computers and data..not amazing stuff but look hard enough and you can find some nice features….this i would recommend for the new members, a lot have joined recently from manchester and this would make a good explore to get experience.cheers for looking and thanks for the day out guy's it was really nice to put faces to the names… i just hope we have better luck next time.
