Faldingworth airfield is in my opinion, a strange place, bar non.

Lots of history and some of it quite contemporary. See report-http://channelography.rattlecentral.com/programmes/b00ndzl3
And from a few years back -Search Google; 'bmarc weapon sale'

Anyway, maybe these two were just thrown in with a deal !

Stood here in this lonely place, reminded that at the threshold leaving the ground for the very last time, some were never to return.

For a long time, Faldingworth didn't exist. At least as for as the maps said so. I know that I've not done a good job here, but maybe you can see sufficiently well to compare the maps? I don't suppose that the people who lived there realised that their homes had disappeared off the map. How do you make a huge reservoir disappear? Oh and I like the creative new names on there, like 'Dogland Wood'
