Quite a sad turn of events led to the closure of this historic Sheffield Tool maker...

Footprint pipe grips are a must for any plumber, or electrician working with conduit... they are the best on the market. The works was a sprawling maze of little rooms, corridors, bridges and basements that made exploring the buildings fun and confusing! It has remained unchanged for many many years, and the whole place oozed history and charactor. In what I think was the forge, machine pits were still full of tools fresh off the forge, from chisels, grips and screwdrivers to drills and hammerheads.

I'm sad to hear this one has closed more than any other. They had kept their manufacture in Britain and sung about it from the rooftops... it's a terrible blow for the Sheffield steel industry.
