Visited here with Stumpy.

Access was OK, although the site is covered in cameras. A previous recce proved useless as security had moved from one side of the site to another. We decided to climb a crane that looked liked it was designed by a kid with a lego set, it appeared to be half a crane on top of half a building.

The view from the top took in the major London sights, St Pauls, the wheel, OXO Tower, Big Ben, Canary Wharf etc.

The fog and cloud was coming in and it ended up pouring down with rain.

...it was drizzling a bit when we started - by the time we came down it was pissing down. Well worth it though - it was a great night out in London.

We also walked a few miles around the local area like real dimwits taking every wrong turn and longest route possible.

Got onto the scaffolding of St Pauls cathedral then realised it was bristling with sensors and moved on sharpish, and then we came across the filmset for The Hogfather by Terry Pratchett...
