There are plenty of unsubstaniated rumours about huge networks of underground tunnels and passageways running under a great deal of the city of Glasgow (no, not sewers). It's always a case of "a friend of a friend said that..." etc, but never any hard evidence.
When these tunnels were built, or what purpose they served, is never clear. The only recurring theme is that they run uninterrupted for miles and pass under all buildings that were at one time major banks or post office buildings.
Did i say unsubstaniated? Oh wait... guess what i did yesterday!
