Took a womble over to the towers on my way home today. The conversion is moving at an alarming rate, the fastest I have ever seen. My beloved water tower has been completley stripped inside, floors, ladders and water tanks. It is sitll climable by means of the scaffholding around it. The wind vein on the top is a fine piece of ironmongery, but is literally dropping to bits. The air raid / patient escape siren is still in situ for now.
The wards are totally stripped, and many are breeze blocked up, making access more difficult than before.
Still no access to Admin or chapel, but watch this space...
