Lydden Spout Deep Shelter - 8/9/07

Visited with monk, twisted, Ali23 and nik24.

The last time me and monk tried having a look for this shelter, the gale force winds threatened to blow us over the edge of the cliff.:(

Access was, well, interesting. Definitely not one to try on a wet or windy day.

Looking up the stairs to one of the back-filled and buried entrances:

There are two roof falls that you have to climb over to get in and out of this shelter, and the last things you want to hear and feel whilst climbing over said roof falls, is everything starting to rumble and shake.....which it did!:eek:
There is a train track at the bottom of the cliff, so it was probably a train going past. How inconsiderate of you, mr train driver.:p
