Again, whilst we were out looking for a derelict hospital, we came across this old boiler house. It was marked as NHS property. Went in with Stumpy, but there was a live substation in there, protected by a fuck-off loud alarm. Stumpy was actually climbing over me, as I was climbing back out.

We'd split into two groups, next thing we heard some crazy alarm and all these birds flying away. Came back towards the car and here come some very dodgy looking guys with very guilty looks on their faces...:D :D :D

Thats a LANCASHIRE boiler in your picture,very old desighn,single pass.Dry Back and very in eficient.Circa 1850. i did the NHS boiler course when i worked at Adenborookes hospital.This type of boiler has not been used for 20 years or so, almost certainly coal fired.
