Seeing as i haven't been on an explore in a few months (been busy making a zombie Film :thumb) i thought i'd ease myself back in by revisiting Barnsdale Tunnel again and trying to get some more shots of the tunnel structure. My cousin (Ar' Ian) came along to check the tunnel out and he also brought his stupidly bright torch (it's like turning t'big light on in't front room :D). Been playing round with the camera a bit more since last time and i think i'm close to mastering the art of low light photography.
Anyway, here's a few pictures of the tunnel:
The 1st couple of pictures were an absolute pleasure to take, the sun was starting to set and it sent a flood of light billowing down the tunnel.
I love my shadow self portraits

You can just see the end of the tunnel, very surreal when your walking the tunnel.

You can really see the scale of the tunnel in these next shots

I managed to get some decent shots of the vent shafts this time round

Odd place for a spring, safe to say we didn't drink from it.

We noticed that one of the vent shafts (3 in total) had a day light creeping through a small hole. We decided to try find the top of the shaft on the surface.
Only found one shaft, the others have been lost to the undergrowth.

When we got back to the car Ar' Ian reminded me that there was a ROC post nearby. So, with a rough idea where it was we set off in to the sunset.
Somehow Ian managed to spot the ROC post just by the road in a field.
It's all locked up with a few heavy duty padlocks, looks in good condition from the outside. Luckily it's in a decent area so chav damage was at a minimum.

Does anyone know how to get access to this? Sub brit have some photos sent by Chris Allen who looks to have been based here.
