Within walking distance of the ledgendary Cane Hill asylum lies this bunker. It was built as a public shelter for world war two, but was not really used all that much. It was then sold to a telescope factory, who found the constant warm temperature necessary for precision optic manufacture. In the seventies they moved out, and I believe it was used by a garage for a few years before being sealed. The pictures aren't very good, as I was in rather a hurry. I will go back there sometime - although I have been telling myself that for quite some time.

This odd sticker was fixed to the fridge. Who on earth would be analysing these tunnels?

This is a wall of solid chalk - they were going to make the tunnels longer than this, but the plans were scrapped.
